Charity Event: All Advertising Christmas Jumper Day 2020!
Happy Friday from the All Advertising team! We hope everyone is enjoying Christmas Jumper Day 2020. Yesterday, our team took part in this charity event by sporting our silliest jumpers to raise money for the charity Save the Children. We also learned about the festival of lights and the story behind Hanukkah with the help of one of our colleagues.
Save the children is a wonderful charity dedicated to changing the lives of children all over the world. Whether it be by fighting Coronavirus and malnutrition, or sending children to school, our donations will go towards changing the lives of those in need. Therefore, we are proud to announce that we helped raise £132 for this charity. With just £2, hand sanitiser can be given to children to help fight the Coronavirus. Giving £10 can help save 5 children from malnutrition with antibiotics and £20 can be used to give a child in Indonesia. By providing school essentials such as a back-to-school pack and stationary, this can give them hope of receiving the best education. We hope everyone is enjoying their own Christmas jumper day, as such a small gesture can save and change lives!
We also learned about the first day of Hanukkah with the help of one of our colleagues. From lighting the first candle of Hanukkah to trying traditional food, we all enjoyed learning about this holiday and its true meaning. We hope everyone is taking this holiday season to create a stronger sense of community with your colleagues whether that be through wearing silly jumpers and giving to charity, or learning what this holiday time means to everyone within the office.
